Yup, Mash nerf is pretty bad. The double taunt has its own uses, but she's nowhere close to where she was before.

The magic thing is dumb yeah and partly based on different authors writing different parts. I enjoyed the last few chapters of LB1 quite a bit though!

F/GO: Salem beated. Probably my favorite Epic of Remnant Singularity (still behind Camelot and Babylonia) but I think it kind of started losing me towards the end. The start was crazy strong but then it started sputtering a bit especially once Samson left and sacrificed himself. I assume he was positioning himself with Hopkins so he could throw himself on the sword like he did for Lavinia should it have become necessary but then Robin jumps in towards the end shouting Samson's Noble Phantasm name and Samson himself decided to stay in the void and get with Marie...? Probably could have been some more explanation on the exact summoning steps for the Lovecraftian God too. Like clearly Abigail was performing sacrifices but the Demon God Pillar was repeating this several times and it didn't appear to work until we showed up so there had to be more to it and??????

Yeah Salem was my favorite of the EoRs too. It definitely petered off a bit towards the end, but it was still cool, partly because Lovecraftian stuff is great. Abigail's Interlude has a bit of a fun followup to some of that stuff if you were interested in Youtubing it or something at some point.

And yeah Avicebron is a boss. One of the most entertaining parts of the Singularity in general. Hopefully some of the QoL improvements and the new engine are helping you out a bit! Game feels rather more playable now.

Been playing VLR. It's a pretty cool game so far! I'm a bit over 2/3 through, going by the flowchart (might be closer to half, since it's probably backloaded). Wasn't too fond of the cast at first (other than Phi, who is fantastic), but some of them have been growing on me. K's probably the funniest character when he gets to do silly things, Tenmyouji had some good development in his route(?), and Alice is pretty fun when she's in the puzzle rooms. Dio and Quark haven't really improved though. Sigma can be good, but he's made out to be incredibly dumb sometimes...

From what I'm reading, it was originally planned to be 18 episodes and was cut down to 12, with all 7 of the final episodes of content being squished into episode 12.

how does the anime adapt 114 chapters in 12 episodes anyways...

But yes, I too have read details and don't think I could play this game. Probably different details than you but still!

I think the idea is you have 17+ so theoretically kids can only get those games if a parent allows them to and then you have the 18+ that is just for porn because you cant let minors have porn obviously.

Yeah, stuff like Mortal Kombat and TLoU2 deserve the AO rating more than most games with sex scenes.

I need to be interested in either the character or the gameplay. I don't know enough about ARMS to be interested in the character, and the gameplay for the last few has generally not gotten me too excited.

Byleth has the best gameplay of any of the DLC characters IMO.

Would agree that Terry/Banjo/Hero are not that fun tho.

This was before everyone released how bad COVID would be. The working adjustments (at least during the past few months and likely into the summer/fall) will likely result in the final character being released by March, 2022.

Sakurai said COVID hadn't really slowed down work on the DLC. That could've changed since his statement, of course.

Usually the idea behind all-digital stuff being cheaper is that you make more money from digital games. Like, you buy a $60 third party game from Target and Sony makes $6. You buy a $60 third party game on PSN and Sony makes $18-$24 (not sure exactly what is is), so Sony makes more money by getting more digital consoles in people's hands.

Impressed you did so well at Shimousa! It's generally considered the hardest Singularity that's currently in the game.

The third Demon God Pillar was in an event. It's kinda unfortunate it wasn't a permanent event, since it's highly important story-wise. It'll get a rerun next year.

Not sure you saw, but you get a bonus 10 SQ for completing Lostbelt 1 in the next two weeks.

Well... I loved Kakushigoto. This season ended up being p quality despite the majority of what I was looking forward to being delayed.

Just finished it. Was pretty good, but not amazing? I liked the first few episodes most I think. The comedy usually worked pretty well, but the "keep it a secret from Hime" jokes definitely got old...

What's quality from this season? Need to figure out what to watch.

That selection's going to be pretty big though. Over 1000 games, IIRC.

PS3 had quite a few, Gran Turismo 6 as an exclusive, but also Resogun and LittleBigPlanet 3 were cross-gen. And baseball. You might look at that and say thats not much, but it was like half their first party output for that year. And effectively all the third party games of course.

Conversely it looks like they will fully drop the PS4 this year, going from their rhetoric.

If baseball was crossgen last time I'd kinda expect it to be this time too. Though looking at the titles you mentioned, Resogun was a three-console release - came out on the Vita and PS3 on the same day a year after it came out on the PS4. That's a bit of a different category.

GT6 is a good example though yeah. And also a good example of why releasing exclusives on your last gen console is a bad idea (same with the last few 3DS exclusives - Bowser's Inside Story and Metroid Samus Returns suffered a lot).

I do wonder though, Sony seem to have gone in an opposite direction this time. They are really stressing the generational shift more than ever (possibly excluding the PS3), have minimised backwards compatibility as a selling point and may entirely avoid forwards compatibility. If they stick to that and this thing is expensive, that is a bad bet.

Isn't that the same as with the PS1 and PS3? What Sony games were released on those after the PS2 and PS4 came out?
